ABOUT ANNISTON FULL GOSPEL HOLY TEMPLE
Anniston Full Gospel Holy Temple is a dynamic church located in anniston, AL. Our beliefs are based on the Bible and centered on Jesus Christ. Our mission is very simple: to lead people to honor and glorify Jesus Christ. That means we’re not about a building or some complicated religious system, but about helping people from all backgrounds discover the joy that comes from knowing and serving Jesus Christ.
We invite you to come and check us out this weekend at one of our worship services. We know that going to a new church can be intimidating, so we try to do things in a way where you’ll feel welcome and not like an outsider. When you come, you can participate or just sit back and observe. You’ll discover a warm atmosphere, practical teaching from God's Word and lots of friendly people pursuing God together. And with childcare and classes for all ages, your family will love it too!
God made a promise in the Bible that if we seek after Him, we’ll find Him. You are a valued part of God’s creation and His deep desire is to be in a relationship with you. So come and join us as we pursue God together!

At Anniston Full Gospel Holy Temple we value the family and we believe church should be a place for people of all ages. Every Sunday we provide children's ministries alongside our regular services, which provides a age-appropriate environment for kids to encounter Christ.

LEADERSHIP
Anniston Full Gospel Holy Temple is guided by a leadership team who provide overall direction and watch over the spiritual needs of the church. Our pastors provide sound, practical, biblical teaching at each worship service. They have received theological and pastoral training and are equipped to share God's love with our local community. Anniston Full Gospel Holy Temple is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will.

Elder Christopher D. Carr Sr.
PASTOR
Elder Christopher D. Carr Sr. is a native of Anniston, AL and the youngest son of the late Bishop Macy Carr and Evangelist Lana T. Carr,. Elder Carr has been happily married since 1995 to First Lady LaShunda S. Carr of Marietta, GA. They are the proud parents of six wonderful children: Christopher D. Carr Jr, Kevin Carr, Macey Carr, Patience Carr, Autumn Carr and Modasti Carr.
Elder Carr currently works for the Federal Government at the Anniston Army Depot. He holds the position of Hazardous Oversight Manager.
In November 1997, Elder Carr gave his heart and life to the Lord and shortly afterwards started fulfilling the scripture Ecclesiastes 9:10. Elder Carr has been blessed by God with several abilities: to minister through music as well as teach and preach God’s word.
As a humble servant, Elder Carr has been given the ministry to teach, train, encourage and mentor as well as help build up ministries in the body of Christ. God has specially equipped him with the ability to reach the youth around the world through different outreach ministries.
In April 2004, Elder Carr was ordained as a minister of Back to the Bible Holiness Church under the leadership of the late Bishop Macy Carr.
In July 2011, Elder Carr was approved by Bishop Macy Carr to be ordained by the late Apostle Lobias Murray as an Elder of the Church.
In 2021, the reins as Pastor were passed to Elder Carr. His past positions include AFGHT Minister of Music and AFGHT Youth Department President. He currently serves in the capacities of CEO of AFGHT Inc., Chairman of AFGHT Inc. Board of Leaders and President of S.T.A.R.S. Inc., an Outreach Mentorship Program for at-risk youth. Elder Carr truly believes he has been called and chosen to fulfill Isaiah 58:12.


LaShunda Carr
FIRST LADY
Lady LaShunda S. Carr currently serves as the First Lady and works faithfully with her husband as the Leaders of AFGHT. Together they work tirelessly in growing the ministry with teaching and reaching people from all walks of life. She dedicated her life to God at an early age.
Lady Carr is a dedicated wife and the mother of six children and works tirelessly to raise them according to the teachings of the Bible. She is the fulfillment of Proverbs 31: “Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.”
For ten years, Lady Carr has worked with the Calhoun County Board of Education. She works as an Educator specializing in special needs children.
She is very outgoing and friendly as she reaches out to everyone; a people’s person. She oversees the Women of Valor, Women with Purpose and Young Ladies of Grace. Her heart’s passion is to groom women of all ages to serve in the ministry according to Titus 2:3-5.
Her goal is to work with her husband to impact the community by making it a wholesome environment conducive to both spiritual and physical wellbeing of the people.
Dr Macy Carr
OUR BELOVED LATE BISHOP
Bishop Macy Carr was the Pastor of Anniston Full Gospel Holy Temple Church Incorporated in his native town of Anniston, Alabama. He was married to Evangelist Lana T. Carr and the proud father of five children and sixteen grandchildren. After graduating from high school in 1962, Bishop Carr attended Alabama State University. He later enlisted in the United States Army where he served our country including a tour in Vietnam War. Bishop Carr was a humble servant of the Lord over fifty-five years.
He accepted Christ during his military career in 1963 while in Vietnam. There he preached and counseled soldiers on the battlefield. After his military career, he later became employed with the federal government where he retired after thirty years
Bishop Carr served under the late Apostle Raymond Moss Sr., founder of Back To The Bible Miracle Revival Fellowship Church. In 1992 he served as interim and later permanent Pastor of the Anniston Back To The Bible Miracle Revival Fellowship Church. After the passing of Apostle Moss, Bishop Carr prayed three years for a church with a five-fold ministry.
God answered the prayer and he united Back To The Bible M.R.F.C. of Alabama with Full Gospel Holy Temple Church, Dallas, Texas which was founded and established under the late Apostle Lobias Murray along with the late Dr. Shirley Murray. God used His servant in evangelizing from state-to-state and spreading the gospel to the lost souls. He stood steadfastly on the principles of true holiness. Bishop Macy Carr was well known in Alabama as a “Man of Faith”.


Evangelist Lana T. Carr
CHURCH MOTHER
Evangelist Lana T. Carr served as First Lady of Anniston Full Gospel Holy Temple Church, in Anniston, Alabama with her husband as Pastor.
She has been saved and Holy Ghost filled for over 51 years. In February of 1971, while working on a degree in Education, Evangelist Lana T. Carr was invited to a revival service where she received salvation and was filled with the Holy Ghost. In addition, she was healed of arthritis all over her body. Later the Lord called her into the Ministry to teach His Word.
She is a lover of the Word of God and prayer. In addition to being First Lady, Evangelist Carr has served as President of Anniston FGHT Women’s Department, Finance Department Director, Choir Member and Associate Sunday School Teacher. Evangelist Carr enjoys teaching out of Titus Chapter 2 and Proverbs Chapter 31. She currently serves as Church Mother.
